2003 Environment Report

Environmental management is an imperative for BlueScope Steel. Our major production facilities – at Port Kembla in New South Wales, Western Port in Victoria and Glenbrook in New Zealand – are located in some of the most visually appealing areas of all.

We are aware of our responsibilities of caring for the environment and place great importance on the way we manage the impact of our operations and products on our surrounding environments.

Our aim is to continuously reduce the impact of our activities on the environment, to ensure the impact is neither serious nor long lasting and, through this, be supported by the communities in which we operate.

HSEC Management Standards
