BlueScope Steel today announced it had commenced first production from its new metallic coating line in Vietnam ahead of schedule. The line is part of a state-of-the-art metallic coating and painting facility being built in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, south of Ho Chi Minh City at a cost of A$160 million.

Tata Steel and BlueScope Steel of Australia officially established their new joint venture and announced the Managing Director of the joint venture company at a ceremony in India today. Mr B Muthuraman, Managing Director Tata Steel and Mr Kirby Adams, CEO & Managing Director BlueScope Steel signed the agreements and exchanged documents.
