What is a digital signature?

A digital signature is an electronic seal on a file that cannot be forged. It provides verification to the reader that the file has come from BlueScope Steel and that it has not been altered.

How to view a digital signature
A digital signature can be viewed using the signature tab on the left window of a pdf file. It contains information about when and by whom the file was signed.

How to verify a digital signature
A verified signature will display a tick in the signatures panel. If a digital signature is not verified, the signatures panel will display a question mark. In order to verify a signature, the reader of the document is required to have the signature certificate installed. To install our digital signature certificate, download the certificate below and then open the file. This will automatically install the certificate on your computer to allow verification.
